Everyone looks forward to your family vacation a year, but sometimes can get stuck in a rut, just visiting the usual destinations each year. I have compiled a list of places to go on vacation you might consider for your next family trip.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, located in Tennessee and North Carolina. Mysterious and haunting, these mountains are home to many species of wildlife such as deer, wild turkeys, grouse collar, quail, black bear and to name a few. When you visit? Well there really is no bad time of year to visit this park. However, in the high season of July and August, is that traffic can be a bit slow. Note that winter temperatures can range from moderately cold to very cold. There are many hiking trails for exploring and camping areas, and you can also bike, horseback riding, fishing, skiing, or go. A truly beautiful place to visit.
Historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, site of the most famous battle of the Civil War, and of course where President Lincoln delivered a speech of 2 minutes, the famous Gettysburg Address. Summer months and weekends are peak times for this popular tourist destination. If you want to visit in the off-season time, the crowds should be diluted after Labor Day. Explore the Gettysburg National Military Park, and combine your visit with a trip to Pennsylvania Dutch country.
Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a ruggedly beautiful coast with cities and farms dating from the colonial era. Many visitors to Cape Town prefer to enjoy one of the many charming bed and breakfast. You will need to visit Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Cape Cod National Seashore, and perhaps the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. Dinner is wonderful if you like seafood, as is a large variety of fresh seafood.
San Francisco, California, is one of my favorite cities. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean, the Strait of Golden Gate and San Francisco Bay, this city is actually only about 46 square miles, but wow is full of attractions. If you’re wondering when to visit, you can not go weather-wise, the climate throughout the year is quite nice. What you see here? Oh well! The cable cars can not miss the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, Nob Hill, Sausalito, Union Square, and areas of the city too incredible name. It is an ideal city to explore on foot, and an absolutely wonderful place to do some people watching. Photo opportunities abound.
Orlando, Florida, home of Disney World, of course. There is also Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and many water parks to enjoy. There is also much more to Orlando theme parks as well as numerous lakes, fountains, museums and historic sites. Depending on when you visit, you can find an art or craft festival going on.
